ANSWER PAGE: my input? -----------------------
hello devilin, I would like to mention here something that happened
and I found very unfair. I was just updating my good old Ad-aware
(6. Version), why I keep an old version? because new programms often
have bugs. And instead of getting the nice reference file, i get
a corrupt file from lavasoft that ruins the whole program... This
is lavasofts new policy of forcing us to use the new SE version.
I mean, OK we will eventually use the new version, they could inform
us in another way though. PS: Happy to see your site advancing like
that.
A squared now tracks
spyware too. I didnt know that, thought it was only for backdoors/troyans.
Check it out : http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/
It's so-ooo unfair ,the ad aware update, although
not totally unrelated to trying to sell their product, is also done
because of the increasing amount of, --------anti-spyware, spyware
programs,---- certain spyware programs on installation will hunt and
destroy anti spyware programs, there is no end to their dubious
behavior, but if you must have a copy of the old ad aware link below,
I'm currently running A squared, but I haven't
taken it out to the high seas yet, to see how it really performs,
seems like a limited database, I believe the spyware it calls malware,
"malicious" I'll start working towards a dailer page this
may help but firefox stops all dailer's automatically, so ? mmmmm
what to do ????????? I'll work something out,
Is there any spyware that cannot
possibly be removed by any means? I heard some of them embed into
lsass.exe and one cant remove them. is that true? which is the worse
thing a spyware can do?
Ok the c:\windows\System32\lsass.exe-------
is part of the wonderful, XP security system, and has been exploited
by viruses worms, and spyware, but Windows has now sorted out the
problem, and a simple windows update should patch the exploit, they
may be slow, but Microsoft does get there eventually
And if XP wasn't a bad enough security risk,
longhorn is soon to be released Longhorn alpha versions are being
tested. bigger better more secure, which is exact what they said
about moving from 98 to XP, ooooohhhhhhhh dear Linux, must be rubbing
their hands together in glee
thanks for that info devilin
:). but what should we do? learn to use linux? why are there so
few operating systems? questions, questions, questions...
Changing operating systems a frightening prospect
for most people, the devil you don't know, Linux isn't quite there
yet, but it's exceedingly close, you could try it yourself, without
removing Windows, if you've got a CD burner, it's more to do with
the programs, rather than the operating system, if all the programs
ran on both, then the choice becomes much more tempting, to switch
to Linux, especially once they get rid of the line commander prompt,
Why aren't there more operating systems, Bill
Gates, he's just to good, he's running a virtual monopoly, Linux
the upstart which will become the fly in his ointment, and Macintosh
which will disappear eventually, with no real competition at the
moment, he can do whatever he wants, virtually all computer systems
come pre installed with the Windows operating system, until people
start demanding Linux, nothing will change, the new Windows operating
system is bound to be larger slower and more vulnerable to viruses
worms and other exploits, because of the way it's written, secretly
in small modules, with little communication between the people writing
it, its a formula for disaster, and slow updates to problems, while
Linux is written openly, you could download the entire manual for
exactly what every part of the operating system does, making it
easier to spot problems and address problems quickly
Meanwhile Bill Gates will do everything in his
power, to make life as difficult as possible, for any other operating
system, its in his interest to do so, but in the end the consumer
is all powerful, not the corporation, so as Linux starts to take
market share away from Windows, Windows will become smaller cheaper
faster, and more security savvy, the next five years will become
exceedingly interesting, Windows is bound to lose eventually, its
already lost the server war, only a limited amount of servers, run
Windows, its mostly Linux based Apache, but the fight with Bill
Gates, vs. Linux, over operating systems for home computers, will
be interesting to watch
? But what should you do personally magic, just
wait it will unfold in front of you, life always finds it's balance
:-)
me again :P :)how about cwshredder? i think its good, i d like to see it in your software collection, provided its realy good.
I'll check it out , from what I remember about it. it is very good if you know what your doing.it can become daunting.and can cause problems with begins
