If you find the instructions below.to daunting.there is a commercial anti spyware program that will remove backweb.the better method of removal.is winpatrol with the easy to follow instructions. spysweeper should only be used by rich lazy people who don't wish to learn anything

This should work with all versions of backweb / backweb lite

Always try uninstalling the backweb program itself first

My computer / add remove / click on backweb. then click remove,

Next if you still got those annoying popup windows download a freeware program --winpatrol ( optional upgrade to pro version for $19.----worth every cent.if you can afford it)

Start the program itself.and select startup programs.picture below. ( I've added the red arrows for illustration purposes )

find the backweb *********** exe .and disable it by clicking the appropriate icon on its left hand side ( yours will probably be different to the one I've used )

Always disable never remove---- never remove anything ever.just disable

Then hit the report button

A web page will appear check for any similarities between backweb and any other program. .the best way of doing this.is to copy the numbers ********** on your particular version of backweb .then hold down the ( Ctrl key )on your keyboard .and press the ( F ). key a small box will appear.copy the numbers into the box.then press the find next button..if there's any matching text.it will find it--------------you can use this find text Ctrl-F box on any document

If you find a match disable it.if your uncertain.ask before you do anything

That's it.all done.click close.and re start your computer.startup may take some time.on your first restart. be patient

Yes the program is still there.but without its startup exe .it's nothing ie not a working program. just forget about it

If you feel you wish to make an official complaint about backweb - I suggest you complain to the federal trade commission
