Will antivirus and firewall protect me from
my computer from spywear?
Reply

A decent firewall will protect
you from spywear, as it can deny the spywear access to the intent
thereby nullifying it, but antivirus software will not perceive
spywear as a threat, because you've invited the spywear onto your
computer, the latest vision of intent explore 6, can automatically
stop spying cookies, when you set your own privacy levels in its
control panel, any other type of spywear, is usually downloaded
hidden in a program, with its own privacy policy agreement, and
hidden away in this agreement, usually 100 lines down in technical
mumbo jumbo, you find you've signed all of your rights to privacy
away, therefore legally you've asked for it, and it can not be considered
a virus, although it may be very similar in its design and

Are you going to spy also on me ??

No, would be the obvious answer,
but you shouldn't automatically trust anybody, but I'm sure you've
already noticed, by filling in the anonymous form, that I don't
want your email address, or your real name, I don't want you to
fill in any surveys, infact I've gone to some trouble, to keep things
as anonymous, as I possibly, where I have control, so again the
answer is no I'm not spying on anybody, I consider it unethical
behavior

I have the suspicion that the
program called PalTalk is spyware. I dont know much about computers,
but since i downloaded it i have all the problems. I tried 3 times
to uninstall it. Each time the uninstall is successful but when
I restart the pc the PalTalk icon still appears and i am allowed
to uninstall it again...and again. Although the program itself wont
run. Any ideas?

Ok the program itself isn't spyware,
although some might argue, that the cookie side of the program might
be considered spyware, but cookies can't really spy that much, its
more of an addware program, especially via your email account,
And the program itself seems open
to being hacked, or malicious abuse
As for the endless uninstall, it
might be argued, that an annoying error in the uninstall program,
might convince you to reinstall the program, just you so stop getting
the annoying message every time you re boot your computer, some
unscrupulous software titles employ such tactics, to keep their
software use statistics artificially high
Here's how to stop the endless
uninstall message, download WJ? startup manager, look for a file
called. " PalNetaware / C:\Paltalk\puninstall.exe
" and disable it from starting up, you should always disable,
and never delete items in the startup menu, always using caution
while using such programs

How do I stop diallers I have Norton
Virus but it can only recognise them after they have transferred
to my computer and have installed themseves so that I cannot use
my internet connection
Reply

Spybot search and destroy, should sort your
any diallers out, use it carefully low, Javacool security, helps
prevent dialler's from getting downloaded in the first place, Norton
anti-Virus failed my tests and is not recommended on this site
