Everythime I open up mu computer I get the message that your home page is trying to change - do you want this to happen? and when I click to say no my page immediately goes to ILook.com - but when I try to get the properties - I get unknown protocol html document not encrypted - then the url is hcp://system/panels/subpanels/search/htm and the size is 42355 bytes - but my browser says http://i-look.com - what does it all mean? Thank you in advance..

Run the program, and kill the spyware But don't immuniz yet

Then click your Internet explored icon, to open a page

Look towards the top of the explorer, find the tools tab, click it

A. small menu will appear, click Internet options

A box menu will appear,

change the address to a homepage you'd like, then click ok

Run spybot click the immuniz button, find the lock i.e. start page box and tick it

My homepage defaults to an unwanted search engine. Resetting only works for first opening, then it defaults again to unwanted page for subsequent openings. How do I stop this?? thanks

Any idea if spywear could cause the 'address' bar to suddenly lock up and also only use Capital letters even if caps lock is not on? This is happening on a friends computer. We have latest virus software installed and system comes up clean.

OK you'll NOT going to like this, it is going to get complicated and technical, you've had your Internet explore hijacked, by a nasty piece off work,

The easy option that probably won't work, is to download every anti spyware product, on this site, although this option might not work

Next if the anti spyware stuff doesn't work, then you'll to have to download a free program called hijacked this

( use extreme caution when using this product )

you'll need to copy the information you get from this program, and for the fastest results, post them on the forum below

I have a question. My boyfriend and I have been ging out for nearly 3 years... I use his computer a lot. I am also very much against porn. He is very computer savvy. Today I got on his computer and in my documents were about 20 jpeg/mp3 files of PORN. I confronted him and he insists that a hacker has somehow gotten it on the computer... We have winmx installed and we used to have kazaa... and porn was showing up on the computer at least once a week. We have not had a downloading program on the computer for a bout a month and this is the first time in several months that it has been on here... should I believe him or is there really some sick and twisted person using some sort of spy ware to dowload porn onto his computer???

Install a firewall, and some anti virus software just in case low

Im not that great with computers so I dont know if i should believe the pop up things or not... you know that when you go to a website, you get popups, but as i was on a lyrics site i had a popup come up and say: we have detected that you have spy wear on your computer, this is not a virus, and then something about where pople can know what your doing(...) click here to remove... well i was kinda uneasy but didnt click the link or nothing... but then as i got onto another website, another we have detected spywear on your computer (...) popup, but the two popups were not the same ones... so should i believe this or what... i know nothing about computers, and im just kinda freaked about this ( with two of the same popups within an hour) but you know how popups are... im just asking: should i believe this? please help, and thank you in advance (and im sorry to bother you)

Don't believe a word of any popup you see ever, consider it in the same as Spam, although there may be some small chance there's a llegitimate person behind the advertising, don't take the risk ever

And although it may be technically feasible for a popup, to detect spyware, I've never seen or heard of such a popup, the only popups I've ever encountered claiming there was spyware on my system, were plain old scare tactic advertising, the usual rubbish, we've detected spyware on your system Act Now, type thing, if your still concerned, the button at the top off this page, will take you to a anti spyware software section, containing some excellent free programs, and its no bother its a pleasure J
